Back a few months ago, Borussia Dortmund struck a partnership with a Japanese club. The Iwate-based Grulla Morioka added the “Iwate” to their denomination to strengthen their ties to the region.
The two clubs had already some chances to cooperate, but a special day provided another moment to share.
BVB’s official mascot, Emma, had her birthday on April 16th. And someone wanted to wish her “Happy Birthday” from the other side of the world.
Iwate Grulla Morioka’s recently-born mascot, Kizuru, produced a small content to wish HBD to Emma. In cooperation with their head coach – Yutaka Akita -, they sent a nice message to Dortmund (and Emma seems to have appreciated the thought!).
